It's not like life is better for most folks there, by any metric.

Although now Ive noticed they will show us less flattering shots of Walker than they did before - before he went national I didn't even know he had such a big bald spot! And the dopey looking eyes.

Still In Wisconsin
(4,450 posts)He had lost a slice of (more moderate) Republicans when he sank into the mid-30's. I think he's gotten most of them back- thanks, as others have said, to the corporate/ right wing domination of the media in Wisconsin. They really have an (almost) monopoly... all the major AM radio stations around the state are Clear Channel, and the two biggest papers (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and Wisconsin State Journal) slant conservative. The only left-leaning paper in the state with any significant circulation is the Madison Cap Times.
That, and he is very, very good at divide and conquer. He's managed to convince almost half of a state that all their problems are the fault of public school teachers and pinhead university professors.

(3,974 posts)Walker quoted after the primary in a Politifact/Milwaukee Journal article:
"I think sends a clear message that anyone who doubts that were not back and re-engaged in Wisconsin, they dont doubt it after last night."
Sykes said: "Yeah, you got your mojo back, didnt you, Scott?"
"Absolutely," Walker said.
