John Smart has died

He was a staunch Democrat from the 7th CD. He was a stand up guy who attended all the CD meeting. Later in years you could ID him by his lovely white hair and walking cane. He took many foreign students who he always referred to as his sons. He will be so missed.

I mentioned in another thread that I just saw John at the June Joint Legislative Briefing in Mosinee via the WCA. I'm used to seeing him at some the the regional meetings that I attend for Wood County.
