Initiative promoter Tim Eyman still cheeky when found in contempt

Initiative promoter Tim Eyman, who has already piled up $211,750 in court sanctions, found himself held in contempt for a second time on Friday by a Thurston County Superior Court judge.

Eyman delivered a cheeky response to the contempt citation: He asked for money in a weekend email blast to his "thousands of followers" and the news media, topped with words of self-appreciation:

"It ain't about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep movin' forward, how much you can take, and keep movin' forward."

Eyman is in court these days as much as he courts public attention.

He doesn't explain actions that have led to court setbacks, but cries persecution at the hands of Attorney General Bob Ferguson.
