15 Tons Of Washington Beef Recalled: USDA
TOPPENISH, WA - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) on March 2 issued a Class I recall for more than 30,000 pounds of ground beef chubs product produced by Washington Beef, LLC, in Toppenish. The recall was issued after USDA investigators learned the meat may be contaminated with hard plastic and metal material.
The ground beef chubs were reportedly produced Dec. 27, 2018, and given a "Use or Freeze By" date of Jan. 20, 2019. The recalled meat was shipped nationwide and bears establishment number "EST. 235."
The potentially contaminated meat was packaged in one-, three-, and 10-pound units.
A customer complaint dated Feb. 28 alerted the USDA to the issue, though there have not been any confirmed reports of illness or adverse reactions due to consuming the meat, USDA officials said. Anyone who may have concerns about illnesses related to eating these products should call their healthcare provider.

Looking at the date I wonder if most of it's already been consumed.
