Snowed out: Michelle Obama postpones Tacoma appearance
Michelle Obama has been snowed out.
The former first lady scrubbed her Friday night appearance at the Tacoma Dome because of the big Northwest snow storm expected to arrive in the City of Destiny just about the time she was scheduled to take the stage.
The event, "Becoming: An Intimate Conversation with Michelle Obama," has been rescheduled for March 24. Tickets to the Friday appearance will be honored.
"With the snow storm on its way into Tacoma, my biggest priority is making sure everyone stays safe, and that's why we've decided to postpone my tour event to March 24,," Obama said in a tweet. "I can't wait to see your all next month, and in the meantime, stay warm and safe out there."
