Defending Social Security Speakers Bureau

Social Security Works WA is planning to create a Speakers Bureau. We will train interested individuals to be able to speak to groups of people (from small to large) about Social Security. The 2 hour training will equip people who are wanting to go out and speak about Social Security to provide a strong coherent presentation. We will also have various tools that speakers can use to make their presentation more effective.

People who want to be trained should be willing to seek opportunities to speak in their union, church, community/neighborhood organization, or workplace .

The first two hour training will be Sept. 20, Thursday, beginning at 6:30 p.m. promptly, in Hall 7 at the Labor Temple.

We are limiting the first speaker training to 10 participant trainees and will sign up on a first come first serve basis. If there are more people who wish to be trained than we can accomodate, we will do additional trainings.

To sign up, email me at rstern {at} wslc.org or call (206) 448-9646 and leave a message.
