Need help with info on a fun place to stay in SW Washington State

Hi Washington folks,
I'm picking up my daughter in Seattle for a trip down to the NW part of Oregon. I need a recommendation for a place to stay on Saturday night. I found some cool places on the Oregon coast the next two nights from recommendations from the Oregon DU group. We like rivers and mountains as well as coast. Since we are a family of four, reasonable prices would be good. Two bedroom places are even more wonderful if you have a specific place in mind. Just a mention of an interesting town to visit also helps.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
Best,
Melissa

I don't know what route you are taking, so don't know if that's too far north to be convenient.

....and there is a real recreated fort there as well as beach. Also, the memorial marking the event when Lewis and Clark actually reached the Pacific Ocean there.

If you want to make an interesting trip out of it, I recommend taking this this 7 hour trip and staying at the Rain Forest Resort at Lake Quinault.

Usually we keep heading down 101 to Astoria instead of turning there--looks like it might well be worth checking it out someday.

Ended up spending most of our time on the Oregon coast and too much of the time on the road but so it goes. I wish I had known about this place but there is always the next trip!

Thanks for the info!
