Looks like Tim Eyman may be going down, for good this time.

The Public Disclosure Commission has completed their investigation, and has recommended that the case be turned over for prosecution, as the potential maximum fine that the PDC can levy is way too low for the crimes alleged and the amount of money involved.

https://www.permanentdefense.org/newsroom/2015/09/pdc-investigation-finds-tim-eyman-broke-washingtons-public-disclosure-law-again.html

“The documentation collected by the PDC and published as exhibits to its findings confirms what we have long known to be true: Tim Eyman used contributions made in support of the campaign for his last I-601 clone, I-1185, to qualify I-517, a self-serving initiative intended to make it easier and cheaper for him to qualify future initiatives to the ballot in Washington State,” said Villeneuve. “Tim Eyman deliberately chose to run a stealth campaign in violation of our state’s public disclosure law, deceiving his own donors and withholding information about his activities from the public.”

They also alleges that he diverted about $170,000 for his own use.

The entire PDC document:

After the state finishes with him, there may be some federal issues involved.

(Unfortunately, I don't believe that Timmy's ego will let him accept any punishment that really makes a difference, and I somehow don't see this ending well as he realizes that his reputation and funding sources are all in the toilet.)

It would be a very positive thing for the State of Washington. I wish the Feds would get something on Grover Norquist too so we could rid ourselves of that cancer on our democracy.

as a person who lived in California for many years, I can attest that most of the shit Eyman puts on the ballot sound good to the average uniformed voter, but only work to make everything the government does harder to do. It's all been tried and found to screw things up.

I hope they roast him over a slow flame. Metaphorically, of course.
