Batten down the hatches

The predicted wind storm is in full force tonight. I have a very old roof, although in pretty fair condition, which I hope can withstand the storm. So far, lights flicker a bit but are still on. Hope all of you in the Seattle area are doing ok.

I heard a tree go down back in the woods just a second ago. Wind is barely letting up now. Scanner is chuck full of trees down, blocking roads, poles down, live wires, water over roadway...it is a bad night up here.

Stay safe and I hope your roof makes it thru tonight.

we had one gust of 47, rattled the old shack. We are surrounded by hundred foot trees.
Lost some big branches but were good.
Seemed to calm down by 9pm..... lights went off once for a minute, flickered a lot.
We made it ok, hope all well and good
.....these things can be so damn scary I wish we had a basement.

Only damage in my neighborhood was a branch that fell on the neighbor's car and smashed the windshield. Power went out around 10:30 pm and came back on about 5 1/2 hours later.

Hope all of you did ok.
