Young people aren't keen on flipping through two different voter guides (one for county, one for state) and finding each item on their ballot.
In reality, neither am I.
After asking if she had voted yet (Iknew she hadn't), I showed her how to find the info she needed online - in the same order as it appeared on the ballot.
She was very impressed and it encouraged her to fill her ballot out right away. In our case, we live in King County.
You just go to the elections website, https://kingcounty.gov/depts/elections.aspx, click on "My Voter Information," enter your name and birthdate (or house number) and away you go!
The more counties that do this, the more young people we'll see voting I'll bet.

(5,480 posts)They not only tell you why they liked a candidate, but also why they didn't select their opponent. Many times it's a close call, but I've found that their reasoning is generally valid.

(148 posts)Their recommendations are really helpful and sometimes funny. I consult them before voting even though I live on the east side of the state. They have a good grasp of what is happening in Olympia, especially on ballot measures.
