Second explosive device detonates at Gig Harbor house within one week
GIG HARBOR, Wash. — An explosion rocked a neighborhood in Gig Harbor Monday evening.
The explosion caused metal fragments to fly 40 to 50 yards away.
Investigators said the explosion happened the 15000 block of 27th Ave NW around 4:15 pm. Multiple agencies arrived at the address and brought bomb-sniffing K-9's to check out the scene.
“They obviously knew what they were doing enough to actually get the device built constructed and to explode so I would have to say they knew what they were doing,” said Sgt. Brian Anderson with the Pierce County Bomb Squad.
