77 New Coronavirus Cases In King County; 5 More Dead

SEATTLE, WA — King County public health officials reported 77 new cases of the coronavirus and five more deaths linked to COVID-19 Friday afternoon.

The new numbers bring King County's total death toll to 485, or about 7 percent of all patients who had the virus. Of those who died, 440 patients were over 60 years old, including 264 who were 80 or older.

Deaths reported Friday included residents in Seattle, Sammamish, Kent

Lab tests have confirmed 6,940 infections and 485 deaths in King County since the crisis began.
