Medical experts recommend extending Inslee's stay-home order by another three weeks

SEATTLE -- Some UW medical experts and researchers advise Washington to stay the course, and keep the state's Stay Home, Stay Healthy Order in place for an additional three weeks.

That's the recommendation from the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation at UW Medicine (IHME) based on its latest COVID-19 modeling for Washington state.

The forecasting suggest keeping the order in place through May 26. Read more here.

"On May 26th, we will have one case of incidents per million in our state -- about eight cases," said IHME's Dr. Ali Mokdad. "We feel at that time, state and county health departments can manage these eight."
