Construction company donates N95 masks to Seattle Children's
Work on commercial developments continues in the Puget Sound region, though one Seattle consultant said planning of some projects has been put on hold.
Builders are taking the same hygiene and social-distancing measures that most other companies are taking, with one company assigning crew members the same seats in break areas to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
The same company, Schuchart, donated 320 masks to Seattle Children's, where a patient tested positive for the virus in late February. It was the first example of community transmission in the state.
"We keep a pretty healthy inventory of all things we need to protect our guys," said President Casey Schuchart.
N95 masks are in such high demand that Target apologized for selling them at some stores in Washington state, The New York Times reported. The company removed them from shelves and donated them to the state Department of Health.
