Boeing worker in Everett diagnosed with COVID-19 coronavirus

Boeing said Monday evening that an employee at its Everett facility has tested positive for COVID-19.

"The employee is now in quarantine receiving the care and treatment necessary for their recovery," the jet maker said in a brief statement.

Boeing declined to reveal more about the employee or what jet program the person works for, citing privacy concerns.

Boeing's sprawling Everett widebody jet facilities employ more than 35,000 workers who make the 787 Dreamliner; 767 Freighters and KC 46 refueling tankers; the 777 and 777X large widebodies; as well as 747 Freighters.
