2 suspects identified in shooting that killed 1, injured 7 in Seattle

Investigators were searching for at least two men who got into a fight Wednesday night that ended in gunfire near Third Avenue and Pine Street in downtown Seattle.

One woman was killed in the shooting. Seven others were taken to Harborview Medical Center with gunshot wounds. As of Thursday morning, four men had been released. Those that remained hospitalized were a 9-year-old boy in satisfactory condition, a 32-year-old man in satisfactory condition and a 55-year-old woman in serious condition. The woman had been critical Tuesday night.

Gunfire erupted downtown at about 5 p.m. Wednesday after "multiple" men got into a fight outside the McDonald's in the 1500 block of Third Avenue, Police Chief Carmen Best told reporters Wednesday night. It was not immediately clear exactly how many shooters were involved.
