Almost 60% in Washington poll say impeach Trump

Almost 60% of Washingtonians surveyed in a statewide poll, conducted late last week, agreed that President Donald Trump should be impeached.

The poll found support for impeachment by a 58-38% margin, with 4% undecided. The survey question did not say "removed from office," a decision the U.S. Senate would face if the House of Representatives passes an impeachment resolution.

But the survey, which also included job performance of the 45th President, showed that voters in the Evergreen State tend to break down largely by where they live.

By a 71-22% margin, with 7% undecided, voters in liberal King County broke for impeachment. The King County result is not surprising. Hillary Clinton carried the state's largest population center by a margin of 500,000 votes in 2016, with Trump getting less than 25% of the vote.
