VA closings per Gov Northam - Twitter thread



#BREAKING
Governor Northam:

*All VA barber shops, salons, spas, entertainment venues must CLOSE for at least 30 days.
*Essential businesses will remain open - grocery, pharmacy, banks
*Gathers more than 10 ppl are BANNED
*Schools will remain closed for rest of academic year


Effective midnight tomorrow (March 24)


Doesn’t not impact construction industry. Construction retail stores are considered essential, will remain open.


ABC stores will also remain open.


Child care will be available for essential personnel (first responders, health officials, grocery workers etc.)


At some point the governor’s office will release a list of essential/non-essential businesses.
Will post to this thread as soon as we get it.


Anyone needing assistance with food, No Kid Hungry Virginia encourages families to text FOOD or COMIDA to 877-877 to find free food distribution sites.


Restaurants/Breweries/Wineries are carry out & delivery only.
