KKK flyers found in Waynesboro

WAYNESBORO - Flyers reportedly from the Ku Klux Klan were found in Waynesboro during the weekend, according to police.

The literature was distributed during what was supposed to be a series of national raids by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement during the weekend.

The Waynesboro Police Department said it received two reports of KKK flyers – which touted support for "law enforcement everywhere" — being left on East Main Street. Another reader contacted The News Leader about a KKK flyer discovered on Baylor Avenue in Waynesboro.

Capt. Kelly Walker of the Waynesboro Police Department said at least one of the flyers was "thrown into a yard attached to a bag of birdseed."

is such a nice town! We stop there on our way to and from NY and SC.

I sure hope this isn't representative of the folks who live there, we've been treated with nothing but kindness and respect every time we stop there. We'll be there tomorrow night.
