Senator Kaine position on seating another of Donny's USSC nominee.

Just called his office and they are taking info and tally constituents opinion. I let them know I agree with Schumer we should not seat or even start the nomination process till after the midterm elections.

I suggest letting both our fine Senator know how you feel on the matter.

U.S. Congress Switchboard number 1-202-224-3121

P.S. Make sure you specify Mark Warner or they might mistakenly connect you to Elizabeth Warren's office.

From Senator Kaine

The Constitution is clear: With SCOTUS, both the President and Senate have roles in this process.

The GOP was clear: In an election year, the people also get a voice in this process.

So the people need to choose their Senate in November before we give consent to any nominee.

From Senator Warner

In just four months, the American people will determine the makeup of the United States Senate. Given the precedent set by Leader McConnell in 2016, it is only appropriate that the Senate wait until the new Congress is seated to consider any nomination to the Supreme Court.
