for the first hopeful political event i've seen in a year

it's been a full year now, a year of lost sleep, despair, and doing my best not to write off the whole electorate as a bunch of greedy bastards and spineless yahoos.

starting to feel a quiet fluttering somewhere near my heart -- might be hope. not sure. it's been a while, i might not recognize it. but tonight the state of Virginia has my deepest gratitude and appreciation.
