Jay Tax Abatement Board Rejects Goldberg's Request For Relief on Jay Peak Resort
NEWPORT, VT -- The Jay tax abatement board has denied relief from penalties and interest stemming from a late tax payment by Mike Goldberg, receiver for Jay Peak Resort and businessman Ariel Quiros. The $2,058,000 tax bill for ten properties has been repaid in installments. Goldberg asked for relief for $164,000 in interest and $113,000 in penalties.
