Congressman Al Green is having Town Hall on Texas Voter ID Law on Feb 18 in Houston

I will be one of the speakers at a town hall being held by Congressman Al Green on Feb. 18 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Sunnyside Multi-Service Center 4605 Wilmington Street, Houston, TX 77051

We had another town hall on this issue back in November.

There was also a status hearing in the voter ID lawsuit in DC. Basically, the court is not going to be doing anything until after the DOJ finishes its review and either objects to SB 14 or allows SB 14 to go into effect. The DOJ review is scheduled to expire in early March and the next status hearing is set for March 14

I hope that any Houston DUers will make it to the town hall. It has been a while since we had a Houston DU meeting
