SB521. i got a call today from woman talking about sb521

how they want to mandate federally the sex education. i know nothing about it. but instead of allowing sex education locally it was federally. i probably got rooked. what is it about. i havent heard. but, they connect you to your representative to vote. was interesting.

2. well, sheeeit, that sounds like parental consent with the clause of no abortion.

but does not sound like what was described to me on the phone that was saying the state would mandate what was taught. not local. the local has me bothered, but then in texas, so does the state, lol.

i told them they already do a piss poor job, so i just teach in my home, giving kids the info they need.

4. so with sb521, plan parent cannot. so a no to sb521? that is what i got from the call.

but then, in my area, no one is allowed to mention abortion or condoms works. so that is already there. but thanks ahead.

5. An Independent School District in Texas must have an approved curriculum by the Texas Education

Agency. A District Curriculum Guide will contain the objectives to be taught in its subject area.

Sex education is not taught in most districts.

One district had a group of ladies who were from the Rape Crisis Center come in and do a program on saying no.

The state education agency has dropped the Health Class Curriculum. It was a half credit for graduation from high school.

6. hmmm. i have a senior and freshman. both certainly got it in middle school. every year. 4. lol.

interesting though a district had rape crisis. i like.

7. I don't know why they just don't mandate pregnancy for every fertile female every year
