Man arrested for impromptu safety drill at school
CELINA, Texas -
A 44-year-old man was arrested Wednesday night, hours after workers at an elementary school say he asked a number of frightening questions about school security.
Ronald Jay Miller, a local resident and father of a student at the school, is facing a third-degree felony charge of making a terroristic threat.
At 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Miller entered Celina Elementary School and "conducted his own drill to test the school's response to an active shooter situation," according to Sgt. Shea Scott with Celina police.
Miller did not display a weapon, police said, but his aggressive actions and alarming statements "created panic and fear" among the school staff. Police got a warrant for his arrest and took him into custody at his home at 9:45 p.m.

The school did not contact the parents about the threat. My former supervisor has children that attend the school.[/font]
