Texas ice cream licker gets 30 days for in-store stunt captured on viral video
D'Adrien Anderson, 24, licked the ice cream and recorded it. He later bought the carton, but the prank caused Walmart to replace its ice cream inventory.

A Texas man who recorded himself licking ice cream at a Port Arthur Walmart and returning the carton to the store freezer was sentenced to 30 days in jail on Thursday.
D'Adrien Anderson, 24, was also sentenced to two years' probation for the Blue Bell stunt, which occurred amid a viral trend of ice cream licking at stores, NBC affiliate KJAC of Beaumont reported.
He is also required to pay a fine of $1,000 and restitution of $1,565 to Blue Bell Creameries, the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement.
The video was posted online in August, and in January, Anderson pleaded guilty to criminal mischief.

PORT ARTHUR, Texas (AP) — A 24-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday to 30 days in jail for posting on social media a video last August of himself removing an ice cream container from a Texas market freezer, licking the contents and returning the container to the freezer.
D'Adrien Anderson, 24, also was sentenced to an additional six-month jail term probated for two years and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $1,565 in restitution to Blue Bell Creameries, which had to replace all of its products in the freezer.
