Ozona volunteer fire chief, wife charged in theft from nonprofit organization
Two officials with the Ozona Volunteer Fire Department were arrested this week and charged with theft of funds from the fire department over the course of four years, according to a report by the Ozona Stockman.
Fire Chief Brian Morrow was arrested Thursday, Dec. 12, while his wife, Secretary-Treasurer Georganna Lynn Morrow, was arrested Friday, Dec. 13, 2019.
A Crockett County Grand Jury indicted them both on Nov. 25.
The two are alleged to have unlawfully appropriated funds of $2,500 or more but less than $30,000 from the fire department for personal benefit or financial gain from Jan. 1, 2015, to Oct. 31, 2019, according to the indictment.
