Susan and Don were in a nasty car accident. This is from a post by Don on Facebook

Recovering from car wreck in Austin last night. Rear ended totaling car . I have 2 broke ribs and severe laceration in scalp. Susan has fractured collar bone. Both lucky to be here. Looks like will be here a few days

Juanita Jean asked me to let all of you know that she and Bubba were injured when their car was rear ended last night in Austin. They are both pretty banged up but she tells me they’ll be OK with some rest and recuperation. I’ll be minding the Salon until she triumphantly returns.
Please send them positive thoughts and prayers to speed their recovery.

I am praying for a complete recovery for both of them

5. Oh, what a shocking and scary event!!

Their injuries, though AWFUL, could have been so much worse, but still, the shock and trauma of this is just - hard to process

7. Update on Don and Susan

Improving better mobility, but still some pain in ribs and breathing. Susan is improving. Our fiend on ground Glen Maxey in Austin a big help. Hope to be back home Monday. Thanks for all kind words from everyone on FB.

To all salon customers, I just got an update from Bubba. He is improving and feeling better, Juanita Jean is also feeling better, but still pretty banged up. They hope to be home sometime tomorrow.
Keep those positive thoughts flowing towards Austin.

9. Here is an update

We are home. I got sprung after a week in icu. Don got moved to a room before I did but we both got to leave the hospital today. Bryan and Sue drove over to Austin this morning to pick us up. We look forward to Christmas at home and Don is anxious to get back to work. We will take it easy, heal up, and remind ourselves how blessed we are to be alive. Thank you for all your reassuring messages and offers of help. We will be contacting you.

Susan and I have exchanged e-mails and she is in pain and will be seeing her doctor
