In 2018, Democrats flipped 2 State Senate seats and 12 State Representative seats, and Harris County and Ft Bend County went completely blue.
Beto O'Rourke got within 2.6 pts of Ted Cruz. Without gerrymandering, Texas Congressional races would have been separated by only 3 pts last year. Even with gerrymandering that was designed to produce a very safe Republican seat in TX-22 (it was a 34 pt GOP victory in 2014), we got within 4.9 pts of Pete Olson in November (due to a lot of hard work by over 1,500 volunteers and a lot of generosity by over 7,000 donors).
Tonight in Austin, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said, "Texas is Ground Zero for 2020." I couldn't agree more...
