27-year-old new executive of Harris County has never attended a commission meeting

David Fahrenthold Retweeted:

You guys, Harris County has a bigger population than 25 states. Its new 27-year-old executive has never attended a meeting of the county commission she now leads.

"Hidalgo, a graduate student and community advocate who returned to Houston this past summer determined to find a position to campaign for, has less than two months to prepare to lead the third most populous county in the United States."

Given her obvious smarts she will be up to speed in no time. Best wishes to her and a fresh perspective moving forward.
