Democrats running to take on incumbent GOP Rep. Pete Sessions call for tougher gun control

The leading Democratic candidates for Congressional District 32 on Sunday expressed outrage at the nation's lack of gun control laws and pledged to work with Republicans on solutions.

"I think there might be hope," said Lillian Salerno, a former undersecretary in the Department of Agriculture at a forum at SMU. "Those kids in Florida, they're not going to lie down. If we can get some representatives up there who will talk to each other, you can get some bipartisanship."

Salerno said she supports banning assault weapons sales to anyone under 26, background checks and other measures.

Former State Department official Ed Meier agrees the pressure from students involved in the recent shooting in Florida that killed 17 people would lead to solutions.

Pete won was cuz no one ran against him.

He won't be back in DC again.
Dems are far more organized & have some good challengers.
It is a blue district anymore.

is that he would likely be removed from the Board of Trustees of my alma mater so I have twice as many reasons to see him lose.
