Federal officers raid Nederland health clinic
Officers from the federal Drug Enforcement Administration, Nederland Police and Jefferson County Narcotics Task Force raided Optimum Medical Weight Control and Family Wellness on Tuesday.
A spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Texas said no additional information about the search was available.
Nederland Police Chief Darrell Bush said he couldn't divulge the details of the search warrant and deferred questions about the investigation to the DEA, a federal agency that enforces controlled substance laws and regulations.
The Nederland Avenue business specializes in "personalized weight loss tailored for the individual," according to its website.
