Teen accused of threatening to blow up Taylor Police Department
A Taylor teenager has been accused of threatening to blow up the Police Department, according to an arrest affidavit.
Damontae Fitzgerald, 17, was charged with terroristic threat, a third-degree felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Taylor police received five 911 calls beginning at 6:48 p.m. April 12 from a man who said he was going to blow up the Police Department, according to an arrest affidavit. The man also swore at police during the phone calls, which came from a cell phone and a land line, the affidavit said.
It said police called both phones that the calls came from and asked for the person who paid for the cell phone service. The person who answered the cell phone, later identified as Fitzgerald, told police the person who paid for the cell phone was at work, the affidavit said.
