Additional TDU surcharges added 25% to our electric Power bill this month.

Has anybody else had huge additional TDU surcharges getting higher and higher since March? On the telephone, the Power customer service person said that OnCor was unregulated to charge what they want to for TDU. I ask about how people on a fixed income were going to be able to handle that. The response was you need a contract that charges more - yes - more per kilowatt hour. I was expecting a suggestion about moving to Bill Averaging. How hateful. What a bully. This was TXU.

Here are my TDU surcharges for the past 3 months:

June - 1.89
May - 1.58
April - 1.19
(April 2011 - 1.14)

I have Spark Energy. I'm no expert on electrical costs, but if you don't have a contract with an electrical provider, you might want to shop around and find a new one. You can compare rates here:

Personally, I'm very leery of TXU.
