Anyone See This Month's Texas Monthly?

Anyone see this month's Texas Monthly? Mimi Shwartz wrote a very uncomplimentary article concerning abortion, access to birth control, and access to clinics and the recent actions of the Texas Republican Party. You can't miss the cover: it's a very loud Komen-esque pink. Considering Texas Monthly's almost spinal-reflexive tendency to play up establishment Republicans and downplay any possible negative effects of their disastrous rule, I'm surprised to see this issue hit the news stands.

I wonder how many Texas grocery stores and news stands that normally carry Texas Monthly will be encouraged to hide this issue or send it back early?

The cover is not inflammatory so they'll be too dense to open it and read. CurtEastPoint Jul 2012 #1

Not one bit surprised. I stopped the Texas Monthly so many years ago that I can't remember how many.

But I might get one if I have any change left after picking up Dave Campbell's Texas football magazine (which will probably take that prime space on the rack).

Way to go Texas Monthly! And Kudos to Mimi Shwartz for sticking her neck out there.

And guessing how many conservative grocery stores will hide the issue and send them back - let me throw out an estimate of 90% - because we're the king of stupidity and back assward thinking in Texas.
