Bisbee, A&M’s ‘unofficial mascot,’ found dead
Bisbee the feral cat that some called an unofficial mascot of Texas A&M has died, an A&M employee said Thursday.
The orange and white cat had been missing for more than a week. It lived near Biological Sciences Building East (the source of his name), often sleeping the time in grassy flower beds where students would frequently come by and pet him.

A Twitter account in his honor amassed more than 2,800 followers. Word of his disappearance spread quickly online Tuesday, with even A&M President R. Bowen Loftin asking for help finding the feline.
He was found Thursday after an employee of the Biological Sciences Building East asked a maintenance worker to check the crawl space under the building. His age has been estimated at between 10 and 13 years old.
