Texas sheriff's deputy and his adult son found dead in home

A sheriff's deputy and his 27-year-old son were found fatally shot in a home north of Fort Worth, police say.

The bodies of 61-year-old Joseph Parker and his son Kensy Parker were found Thursday in a bedroom of the home in Graham, reports KXAS-TV (NBC5).

Joseph Parker was a sheriff with the Young County Sheriff's Department and was previously an officer with the Graham police, said Graham Chief of Police Tony Widner.

Widner declined to comment on the details surrounding the deaths, but he did say that a weapon was found nearby and that investigators have an idea of what happened. They are just waiting on forensic test results.
