http://kxan.com/2017/01/13/senators-cruz-and-cornyn-talk-about-their-legislative-agendas/Senators John Cornyn and Ted Cruz were invited to take part in the Texas Public Policy Foundations 15th Annual Policy Orientation. The two talked about the election and praised President-elect Donald Trumps Cabinet picks. They also emphasized that its now time to deliver on the promises Republicans made to voters.
The big ticket item: repealing Obamacare.
We are going to work together on healthcare reform that expands choice, that expands competition, that give people more options and lower prices, said Sen. Cruz. On Thursday, the Senate passed a measure to take the first step forward on dismantling the Affordable Care Act.
We are not going to mandate a one size fits all approach out of Washington let people chose what best suits themselves and their families, said Sen. Cornyn.

(2,559 posts)2. I'm getting deja vu back to the pre-ACA days...
When if one Googled "affordable health insurance", one got a lot of fake policies that cost more in premiums than they ever could possibly pay out, with no major medical coverage and very limited prescription coverage.
That's the grim reality for people with pre-existing conditions and no employer health plan going forward... sickness, pain, death.
The new Trump normal.

Meaning whatever you can afford and still be able to buy groceries. Not a corner of hell dark enough or hot enough for people like that.

Cornyn and Cruz don't give a Fat Rat's ass About ANYONE but themselves and their ilk.
I hope they own it and WHEN it does come back to bite them (and it will) that we
can get rid of them ALL.
