disappointed in TX Dems...

just found out that the TX Dem Party really doesn't believe in democratic principles.

My friend was on the "Nominations" Committee... they told her that their wasn't much to do 'cuz the party had already decided who the nominees were going to be...really? ... this is democratic and what is the point of having committees if they do what the PTB want with no discussion?

Chairman Ritchie doesnt give any time for the noes to say anything before stating a motion has passed...this is democracy?

I'm really disappointed in TX Dems... they behave more like Republicans every day.

when he didn't give time for the noes. But if it make you feel better, I think Chairman Hinojosa will be a much more considerate chairman.

My point was that in any organisation, the establishment is going to protect the status quo. Those seeking to change the status quo will find it difficult getting in positions from which they can implement that change.
