Two charged with murder in connection with Abilene police officer's death
ABILENE, Texas - Two people have been arrested in connection with the Monday death of Abilene Police officer Don Allen at his home in Clyde.
Phillip Walter, 29, and Violetta Walter, 30, were charged with first-degree felony murder, Police Chief Stan Standridge said during a news conference Thursday evening.
Bond was set at $500,000 for each.
The pair were linked to goods stolen from Allen’s home, the chief said.
