San Marcos issues boil water notice
SAN MARCOS -- The City of San Marcos issued a boil water notice Saturday evening to water customers south of McCarty Lane.
A contractor hit a water main on Foxtail Run and an emergency water repair is requiring customers to boil their water before consuming it, according to city officials.
Officials said the notice does not mean the water in the area is contaminated, however until the city receives test results back showing the water is safe residents should take precautions.
City officials expect the boil water notice to be lifted on Tuesday.
