H-E-B says Blue Bell ice cream products will be back on shelves in mid-September
H-E-B anticipates having Blue Bell Creameries products back on its shelves in mid-September, company spokeswoman Kimberly Harle said in an email on Wednesday.
The San Antonio-based grocer expects the Houston market to get Blue Bell products first "based on proximity to distribution," Harle said.
Blue Bell announced on Tuesday that it has resumed ice cream shipments four months after a listeria outbreak halted production.
"H-E-B has been in communication with Blue Bell on their distribution status," Harle said in the email. She added, "the decision on assortment and which locations receive product first is completely determined by Blue Bell."
