The University of Texas at Austin's public affairs assistant dean has issued an apology after a commencement listing for the program's forthcoming graduates contained a typo citing the Lyndon B. Johnson School of 'Pubic' Affairs.

not to rely on spell-check and actually "read" anything that they produce.

Why apologize?

Really it's an easy mistake. And spell check would not have corrected that - "pubic" is a word. And even a grammar check in MS Word would not find anything wrong with it either. You need a real human to get the subtle difference. And obviously those missed it too.
