Nederland math teacher resigns over raunchy poem (Graphic language)
A Nederland High School math teacher has resigned amid allegations that the teacher recited a poem to students riddled with sexually explicit language.
Steven Beagle, high school principal, released a statement to parents on Friday saying the district first became aware of the incident on Wednesday.
"Recently it was reported to my office that a teacher at our high school used inappropriate language in class," Beagle wrote. "Immediately, I conducted a thorough investigation of the complaint along with other administrative staff, and we determined that the incident occurred."
Beagle said the teacher submitted a resignation letter on Friday and it was accepted by Superintendent Robert Madding.
