Shattered glass after widespread vandalism, burglary spree in Lubbock including GOP county HQ
Shopkeepers spent Saturday morning sweeping, boarding up windows and cleaning up the damage after widespread vandalism and burglaries in Lubbock.
Much of the damage, which appeared to be caused by BB or pellet guns, came in the form of shattered windows, including many at shops and organizations such as the Lubbock County Republican Party Headquarters on 34th Street.
Connie Munoz arrived at her shop in the 3200 block of 34th Street just before 9 a.m. Saturday to find her front plate glass window destroyed and projectile damage on her glass door.
“There was a lot of shattered glass,” said Munoz, owner of Ameri Tax Income Tax and Bookkeeping service.
