WFAA Channel 8 in Dallas Does Not Report the Real Issue About Why Generic Medicine Cost the Same

The Pharmaceutical Industry and Generic Drugmakers may be waiting to bring the new costs forward in order to blame Obama and the ACA. It may be that the GOP will blame Obamacare for the increased cost when that is just another Conservative lie.

But the bottom line is that in these cases, the people who usually sue each other — the patent-holding drugmakers and the alleged patent violators (the generic drugmakers) — are on the same side, supporting the payments.

Challenging the payments is the Federal Trade Commission, which sees these monetary arrangements as collusion, a way to stop competition in the marketplace and a violation of the nation's antitrust laws.

The drugmakers, in contrast, see the settlements as a routine way of settling a legal dispute, with each side getting something it wants.

So are the $5.00 drugs going to go back to the approx. $150.00 per month cost? My new Obamacare/ACA card says that drugs are covered at 100%. Does it mean that Obamacare can negotiate for the cost of drugs and private insurance companies cannot?
