PPP Poll That Shows Wendy Davis Trailing By Double Digits Includes Silver Lining

A new poll by Public Policy Polling (PPP) on the race for Texas Governor shows Senator Wendy Davis trailing Attorney General Greg Abbott by 15%. This comes on the heels of a Texas Tribune poll taken last week that showed Davis with in 5% of Abbott, her leading Republican opponent.

The results weren't all bad news: more voters have a positive view of Davis than Abbott, and by the slimmest margin oppose the law she filibustered possibly neutralizing that issue against her...

There are some inconsistencies that don't add make sense, some of which BOR pointed out. I think Davis is still the underdog certainly, but will close that 15 point gap (if there really even is one, last week's poll said 5 pts) in the next year if we can get enough money and a good ground game behind her.
