So I've visited. I'm wild for our gal Wendy. She'll have a steep climb but look who she is against. We can't use the r-word on DU, but Rick Perry is two toco's short of a fiesta.

I had a hard time, I had just come from Germany and was getting my sentences mixed up between German, English, Spanish and the Latin that I heard in church.

she's supposed to announce a Governor bid tomorrow according to major nooz outlets.

Most things I've read say she's behind for Governor, but not a long shot.

The cities are blue and we are getting there in the suburbs. The estimates I've seen that give us the right demographics are 10-15 years out. BUT it's worth a shot as we have some good up and comers with both Davis and the Castro brothers.

The deal though is that if we can keep registering labor we will get closer, and that can't hurt if Hillary runs in 2016 (she is quite popular here with certain segments). I think the party will reward Wendy either way if she can generate some turn out.

No one has really conducted a real campaign in Texas since 2002. The Texas Republicans have been doing its best to alienate women and minorities. According to Paul Begala (who is from Fort Bend County), Texas is not a red state but a non-voting state. If people turnout and vote, Texas could be a competitive state.

Finally, I know Greg Abbott. I was at the same big downtown law firm in the 1980s with him. Greg is not a great speaker and his campaign has been making mistakes right and left. Goodhair was a decent speaker and ran great campaigns in Texas where he rarely made mistakes. For example, Goodhair was careful not to debate Bill White and that decision kept him from having to answer any questions. I doubt that Abbott can use this strategy against Senator Davis.

I made a donation as soon as I got the message that she was running. I'm convinced it can help us with registration efforts for 2016 if nothing else. And she has a fantastic personality. Who knows - maybe she has a chance.

Juanita Jean and some people from Fort Bend County were at this event and so I knew that she was really running. I made a donation just in time for the third quarter reporting period.

by 9 points.

Every woman I know, including life-long Republicans, supports her over Abbott.

We grow women tough here in Texas and as Texas women go Wendy's tougher than most.
