OP
You're right. There are 8 plans at the silver 87 or 67 level, I forget the name.

(10,283 posts)1. This is what I've prayed for. Well, to the extent atheist pray ;)
....that Obamacare would hit a home run (by design) in Texas, and help swing our state Blue. It's been frustrating to me that I couldn't get, in the past 6 months, any real indication of what rates where going to turn out like in Texas - but I've been hopeful that the Federally run exchange was negotiating hard to make Texas a showcase for the exchange portion of Obamacare - and thereby a trojan horse for turning the state BLUE.
Looks like they kept their powder nice and dry. Boom.
Texas is the quickest, most direct route to the elimination of the GOP. When Texas falls, they.are.done.

But I can get a good plan for less than $50/mo after subsidies.

I think they are counting individual plans from providers, not just the basic plan level.

I'm going for the cheapest. As my income improves, I can upgrade. You used to not be able to do that because of the pre-existing thing: once a crappy policy, always a crappy policy - but NO MORE!!!!!!
