Does anyone know of any assistance available in Texas

for a nasty divorce and custody battle....one party is disabled from an act of family violence that occurred.

There are allegations by the child that she is being sexually molested.

She has had two attorneys who basically have taken her money and ran...the last one refused to put a motion for enforcement...even though she had documented evidence they were hiding the children and refusing to let her speak to them.

Any ideas where someone like this could turn?

I'm not in Texas, and I have no personal experience with a situation like that, but perhaps Legal Aid is the first place to go.

Also, if attorneys have taken her money and run, at a minimum she needs to report them to the state Bar Association.

It also feels as if an awful lot of information is missing here. Why would an attorney refuse to put in a motion for enforcement? Enforcement of what, I must ask.

disqualify her for legal aid.

Research shows that Texas rarely slaps malpractice on the hand.

Right now, she needs to get her child.

As far as why he would refuse? That is the million dollar question.

Not only that...he advised her to do something that the judge admonished her and put sanctions on her for doing. She has proof that her attorney did this, yet, during the hearing where she was smacked down, he stood there and acted like she did it on her own.

She will take care of him...however, she wants to get her child safe again before she goes after him.

A year of dirty tricks, bad faith, and court-sanctioned poverty have taken their toll on her.

I honestly am not sure she will survive this round.
